«Si usa quel che si ha». Paolo Virno e l’antropologia dell’abitudine

This article attempts to trace the philosophy of PaoloVirno (1952–2025) along a specific thematic axis: the anthropological positioning of the notion of ethos. Drawing on little-known or even unpublished sources, the essay demonstrates the centrality of a concept that runs through the thinker’s entire body of work, as it touches upon the most diverse fields: from architecture to rhetoric, from the theory of human nature to a non-Freudian notion of the ‘unheimlich’ capable of revealing the public and ambivalent nature of our species.
