- Intervista
The interview starts with the publication of Pietro Montani’s last book, Vita interactiva (2025). In this essay, the author investigates the concept of interaction in its manifold manifestations: the interaction with environments, natural and artificial; social and political interaction; the use of interactive technologies, including language; the development of creative interactivity in art. It emerges so how far Montani has never considered interactivity merely as a feature of the contemporary media system. Interactivity is a fundamental trait of the human condition – its principal emergencies being language, technology and imagination. Montani outlines the necessity of reconstructing the relationships amid these three dimensions of interactivity, as far as we want to understand the human creative agency. Many thinkers accompanied Montani throughout this investigation: Kant, but also Dewey, Garroni, Simondon and many others.
