Pollock, capitalismo di stato e automazione. Una lettura critica

This contribution aims to critically explore some of the main categories developed by economist Friedrich Pollock, one of the most important figures of the Frankfurt School. This contribution aims to highlight the strong relationship between Pollock and the founding of the school. On the one hand, it shows some of the criticisms levelled at Pollock by some important members of the school, and on the other hand, it shows the deep connection of the economist’s thought with that of other thinkers, such as Horkheimer, especially concerning the concept of state capitalism. The paper shows the continuity between this concept and that of automation. Finally, the limits of Pollock’s thought are highlighted through Raniero Panzieri’s reflection.
